01.

DEEP CLEAN APPLIANCES

Wipe down your oven, microwave, and fridge. For the oven, consider using a self-cleaning function if available, or a good oven cleaner. Don’t forget to clean the microwave by heating a bowl of water with lemon juice for easy wipe-down.

02.

BEHIND APPLIANCES

Move your fridge, stove, and other appliances to clean behind and underneath. This area can collect dust and food particles over time.

03.

CABINET FACES

Don’t forget to wipe down cabinet doors and handles, which can accumulate grease and grime. Use a mixture of warm water and dish soap or a kitchen cleaner to wipe down all surfaces.

06.

DISHWASHER

Run a cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or vinegar to remove odors and buildup. Wipe down the door and seals, too.

07.

SPONGES & BRUSHES

Sanitize your sponges by microwaving them (when damp) for a minute or soaking them in a vinegar solution. Replace worn-out brushes.

CUTTING BOARD NOOKS

Pay attention to grooves in wooden cutting boards where bacteria can hide. Scrub them with salt and lemon to disinfect them. Use hot, soapy water or a mixture of vinegar and water to sanitize cutting boards. Consider using separate boards for meat and vegetables.

09.

PANTRY SHELVES

Regularly clean pantry shelves and check for spills or expired products. This also helps you keep track of what you have. Check for expired items and rearrange ingredients so the most frequently used items are easily accessible.

TRASH CANS

Clean the trash cans regularly, especially the lid, which can harbor germs. Consider using a liner for easier cleaning. Take out the trash and clean the bin if necessary. Having a fresh bin for food waste is important.

11.

TILE GROUT

Clean and refresh the grout between tiles with a mixture of baking soda and water, or a specialized grout cleaner. Make sure to sweep and mop the floors to remove any crumbs or spills, especially in high-traffic areas.

OVEN RACKS

Don’t just clean the oven interior; soak and scrub the racks to remove grease buildup. Consider using a self-cleaning function if available, or a good oven cleaner. Don’t forget to clean the microwave by heating a bowl of water with lemon juice for easy wipe-down.
